Ghana striker Patrick Twumasi impressed greatly as FC Astana coasted to a convincing victory over FC Kairat to clinch the Kazakhstan Super Cup.
FC Astana recorded a 3-0 win at the Astana Arena to clinch the trophy.
A brace from Marin Tomasov and a goal from Ivan Maevskiy helped the Yellow and Blues lads to win the title for the third time.
Twumasi was involved in the first goal after his ferocious strike was pushed onto the path of Tomasov to tap-in.
He scored 14 league goals to emerge as the club’s second highest top scorer last season.
Twumasi also registered five goals in his eight appearances for FC Astana in the 2018 UEFA Europa League.
