Ghana football legend Osei Kofi has revealed that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have been bribing Sports Ministers in order to get them to their side.
Reverend Osei Kofi confidently said he could back his revelation with facts, since he once worked in the Sports Ministry.
“I work at the Ministry so I know what goes on there. What the FA does is that whenever any new minister is appointed, the FA bribes them with a big envelope full of dollars”, he said.
“The moment the minister takes it, then he goes into bed with them (FA) and they perpetrate their corrupt practices,” he added.
“Ten ministers have been reshuffled from the Sports Ministry all because the GFA corrupted them. The last Minister was Mahama Ayariga who came and subsequently bought a team. Where did he get the money from? , he questioned.
Osei advised that, if the in-coming government of Nana Akufo-Addo hope to succeed in the sports sector, then whoever will be appointed the Sports Minister must be weary of the GFA’s bribery and influence.
