Fabio Capello Surprisingly Quits Chinese Super League Jiangsu Suning Weeks After Signing Striker Richmond Boakye

Coach Fabio Capello who played a key role in signing Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom to Jiangsu Suning has left the Chinese Super League club.

The club confirmed on social media on Wednesday that the former Real Madrid coach has vacated his post.

Capello took over last June after a dismal run under South Korean coach Choi Yong-soo left Jiangsu in the relegation zone.

The 71-year-old Italian departs just three games into the new campaign.

Boakye revealed it was Capello who convinced him to leave Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade last month.

He is yet to make his debut for the side.
