President Akuffo Addo has said his government is committed to its pledge to construct a modern stadium in Abesim, near Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region.
This he said was to ensure the development and promotion of sports in the region and the country.
President Akuffo Addo said this when he paid a courtesy call on Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, the Paramount Chief of Dormaa Traditional Area and his subjects to climax the end of a two day working visit to the BrongAhafo Region.
The President said a parcel of land had already been earmarked for the project and asked the people to exercise restrain while they work to find resources to execute the project.
He said inspite of the meagre resources bequeathed his administration, by the past administration, his government was still determined to initiate development programmes and to fulfil the campaign promises made to the people of Ghana.
