Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has advised Ghana’s two most glamorous clubs, Hearts of Oak and Asamte Kotoko, to stop the frequent changes at the coaching level.

Hearts of Oak sacked Scotsman Frank Nuttall as the head coach of the club last week after he was reported to have broken the side’s code of ethics.

And just a day after Nuttall’s sacking, Asante Kotoko also relieved off Steve Polack off his duty as their head coach following their elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup.

But the former Al Khartoum Watani coach has implored the two clubs to maintain some level of consistency in their technical direction.

“I am not saying that when they stick to one coach they will win but the bottom line is they’ve kept changing for all these years and it has yielded no results so why do you stick to something that doesn’t bring any result?.

“When you change a coach, you need to have time for the coach to prepare the team but let’s be frank do Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have time for that? It’s a big no,” he told Starr Sports.

He added, “When it comes to Kotoko and Hearts Of oak, the [penchant for] changing coaches has been with them for years.”

“It is important they take a look at this behaviour and rather stick to one coach and give him a long time frame like 2 or 3 years and see what he can do instead of the rampant changes,” he noted.

For the past 15 years, Kotoko has changed a number of 22 coaches whiles their sworn rivals, Hearts of Oak have done same in the past 12 years.
