The two teams are set to face off at the St. Andrew’s Stadium in what is also known in some circles as the Birmingham Derby.

Adomah joined Villa from Middlesbrough in August, and after seven Championship appearances, the 28-year-old looks set for his first taste of the renowned rivalry clash.

“I have not played in this derby before,” Adomah told his club’s official website.

“It is my first big massive derby. People say it is one of the biggest in the country. I look forward to it.

“If I am selected, I will try my best to help the team out. I am looking forward to the sound of it. Everyone says it is out of the league.

“The main priority is three points and trying to win. If you win the game you have the bragging rights to say we are the biggest team, the best team, in the city.”

Villa come into the game on the back of a 1-0 victory over Fulham, while Birmingham are on a quest for revival following a 2-0 reversal at Burton Albion.

Adomah added: “I have seen a few fans and I think they are really passionate. All supporters. I am sure they are looking forward to this massive game. If we win, they can brag more about our team.

“I played in Bristol City v Cardiff, Middlesbrough v Sunderland, Middlesbrough v Leeds. They are not the best derbies. Even though the atmosphere was immense.

“I am sure this one will be great as well. I look forward to it.”

Adomah has also played for lower division sides Harrow Borough, Barnet and Bristol City.

Villa, meanwhile, are on the search for their fourth win of the campaign following a poor start to the season.
