Ga-Dangmes are up in arms against the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, over information they gather he will move the country’s capital town from Accra.
They are calling on all people of Ga-Dangme descent to vote against the NPP flagbearer in next week’s presidential elections.
They are also calling on Nana Akufo-Addo to render an unqualified apology to Gas, in general, for such a “suggestion”.
It is unclear where the suggestion emanated from but rumours on social media suggested that the NPP leader is planning to move the capital to Kyebi, his hometown.
Addressing the media on Thursday, December 1, Wolomo of the Ga-Dangme Nii Samoah Kokropong urged Gas to vote against Nana Akufo-Addo to register their displeasure at such reports.
