Policy Advisor to the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Boakye Agyarko says the 2016 manifesto of the party has been well thought-out and poised to proffer solutions to the myriad of challenges plaguing the country.

“This manifesto is for the long term sustainable development of Ghana,” he stressed.

He was speaking at the launch of the manifesto at the Ghana International Trade Fair Center in Accra on Sunday.

The launch was climaxed with a rally at the forecourt of the Center.

Themed ‘Agenda for Change: Jobs, Prosperity and Securing the Peace’, the 2016 policy statement was touted by a number of speakers at its launch as the saviour of Ghanaians from the “incompetence” of the John Mahama-led government.

But taking his turn, Mr Agyarko, who chaired the 2012 campaign of the party, said the manifesto will remain the social contract between the NPP and Ghanaians.

“The solutions we have set out in this manifesto have been well thought-out and considered,” he stressed.

“This manifesto is our commitment to the people of Ghana,” he continued, “it is a social contract between ourselves and the people of Ghana with the aim to restore hope and get the country back working again thereby relieving the hardship of our people.

He explained that the policies outlined in the manifesto makes the work of citizens somewhat cut out.

“…to vote for a team that is competent and has the skills to expertly manage the national purse.”

He, like all the speakers before and after him, called for change.

“We have an excellent team who are ready to serve this country.”
