President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to begin what appears to be a Thank You tour of the north from Thursday, December 22.
He is expected to touch down at Tamale Airport in the Northern Region at 10:00 am.
Nana Akufo-Addo will immediately call on the Paramount Chief of the Mamprugu Traditional Area in Nalerigu before proceeding to the Upper East Region, where the tour will start proper.
He will return to the Northern Region on Friday to pay courtesy calls on the Kampakuya Naa and the Bolinlana, two regents in Yendi.
He will then proceed to Damongo to pay a courtesy call on the Yagbonwura, the Paramount Chief of the Gonja Traditional Area.
Nana Akufo-Addo will then move to the Upper West Region on Saturday.
He will meet the Regional House of Chiefs before later moving to the Brong Ahafo Region.
Nana Akufo-Addo is expected back in Accra before Sunday, but not having gone through Kumasi.
