The results of the poll released Monday morning is projecting a 52.4 per cent votes for the National Democratic Congress as against its arch rival’s [New Patriotic Party] 45.9 per cent in the presidential election.

The latest poll caps five others in the last five months conducted by the pollster in which the NDC came atop. It’s not clear, the methodology and sample size employed by the pollster, who said “We would give further narration on the above polls starting tomorrow, Tuesday, November 29.”

In May this year, the first poll by Mr Ephson, who is also the Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight Newspaper, predicted a win for the NDC with 35 per cent of and 33 per cent for the NPP as well as two per cent for the other parties.

The NDC again was put in the lead in the June poll with 42 per cent votes and the NPP 39 per cent with the other parties scoring four per cent.

The poll for July projected victory for the NDC with a total of 48 per cent votes while the NPP came next with 44 per cent and the other parties 1.7 per cent.

October’s poll again gave the NDC 50.8 per cent as against the NPP’s 47.5 per cent votes and the other parties’ 1.7 per cent.

“For the first time, we have published all the polls we have done before the final one. This is to enable our readers have a fair idea of how the various parties have been faring over the last six months,” Mr Ephson said in a statement on his website.

Findings of a research released last week by the University of Ghana’s Political Science Department said the NPP would record 69.9 per cent in the 2016 presidential general election if the general elections were to be held now.

The researchers projected 39.9 per cent for the National Democratic Congress five per cent for the Progressive People’s Party and 1.7 for both the Convention People’s Party and the National Democratic Party.

Another research by Groupe Nduom Research also tipped the NPP to win the elections because 51 per cent of Ghanaians are confident Nana Akufo-Addo is the best candidate to address unemployment, health and educational issues in the country when voted as president.
