Busted? NPP In Secret Meeting With EC To Rig the Election – NDC Alleges

The governing National Democratic Congress claimed two leading members of the opposition New Patriotic Party had a secret meeting with some unnamed officials of the Electoral Commission to rig the elections for the NPP.

Kofi Adam, National Organiser of the NDC who doubles as the campaign coordinator of the John Mahama’s campaign team, mentioned former Attorney General, Ayikoi Otoo and former National Organiser of the NPP Lord Commey.

According to Kofi Adam, an audio recording in their possession exposed the two conspiring with the EC officials to ensure that the results in some constituencies are tampered to favour the NPP.

He told the media that the meeting between the NPP and EC was held at the commission.

He said the NDC will lodge official complaint to the Electoral Commission to take action against the officials captured in the recording.

The Criminal Investigation Department of the police, he said, would also be handed the tape to “thoroughly investigate” the matter.
