“No matter how long you clean a pillar of clay, it never rinses clean
Moderate then O Man thy conduct in the bosom of time
For when time waves its’ long hand, little more shall be left of thy highly exalted self but soul and sand”
The old man exhorted his son; for he, been a young lad had succumbed his soul to that which was banned
Angrily, he charged to a revolt; a misplaced affront against the hairless and feeble dad
“What about time? What at all would you have me do in a life lived in so much constriction? Do you also know about Y. O.L.O? Or, have you forgotten the tragedy of Solo”? (For ‘Solo’ was his deceased brother who was laid to rest in his teens); and now, breaking forth in tears, the young gentleman pleaded with the father to accord him his due – in respect
With words as these, he lambastered and proceeded progressively
And yet, while the rumblings progressed; while his father nodded on; while time seemed to have halted in honor of the duel between “two generations”
The hairless old man interjected: “that which I see sitting, can hardly be noticed by you standing. While I do not deny your appetite to indulge, I enjoin you to stagger that controlling appetite with periodic reflections; for not all that glitters is the equivalent of diamonds and pearls”
The old dad pressed on further:
“Truly, life without Fire and passionate Desire is Bizarre; and I do not sanction that! I instead Require of you to Inquire, so that what would Transpire with time from your incomings/outgoings would be worthy of a Hire by unborn generations”.
On this note, the old fellow pushed closer to his remaining son, overwhelmed he seemed in his conscience; his father reached out with a deep passionate hug
Voila, beyond father & son, two generations had hugged; and now, they could both drink from the same mug
