In recent times he has embarked on a risky political enterprise which is incompatible with his status as a foreigner.

We are not aware that he has naturalized. We also do not know whether he has altered his nationality that qualifies him to pug-nose into local politics the way he has been doing in recent times.

It would appear that he is part of the President John Mahama campaign team when we consider the gusto with which he rushes to subtly insult Ghanaians who disagree with their head of state.

A few weeks ago, we called him to order but in an apparent response steeped in hubris, he is telling Ghanaians that nobody can stop him from campaigning for the President. Had the man he is campaigning for, and therefore finds it appropriate to hurl invectives to those opposed to him, been on the other side of the political divide would he have had the guts to react the way he has?

As if that is not enough he has gone further to, as it were, clear the President of any wrongdoing in the matter of the Ford Expedition debacle. We do not know what authority he has to render this bill of good health to the President.

His incessant pug-nosing into our political affairs is most reprehensible and insulting and we think all well-meaning Ghanaians should join us in telling him to back off.

We know he has managed to reach out to the President already but sustaining the relationship does not demand his interference in local politics. Maybe he too can go and sign the pardon call note book as other NDC apologists are doing currently and top it with a visit to the Nsawam Medium Security Prison.

We are constrained to once more ask him to go and clear himself with the Buhari probing machinery, as it sweeps Nigeria of persons of questionable political integrity, who soiled their palms during the infamous Goodluck Jonathan days.

‘Nobody can stop me from campaigning for President John Mahama’ is an outright balderdash we would not brook under any circumstance.

The earlier he shuts up the better for him: we have in our midst fourth and fifth generation Nigerians spread across the length and breadth of the country.

These are responsible personalities who are uncomfortable with a stranger going beyond acceptable limits the way Dele is doing.

Dele Momodu’s interference in our politics is clearly one of the symptoms of our ailing country.

We cannot allow the nonsense and the unguarded bouts of threats and insults on the airwaves to fester further.
