Friend, each one of us at a certain point in our life has asked “What is the purpose of my life?” I want you to know that if you want your life to be meaningful, you’ve got to have something to live for. That idea, thought, dream or vision is the paths you choose to enable you live with a difference and to leave a meaningful legacy for present and future generations.

Everyone who has ever lived or will live can only impact the world when they have an inspiring idea, vision or dream that drives them to make efforts for successful achievement. The point is that we are all born with some form of endowments; it could be a strong desire, idea, dream, vision, talent, skills, abilities or capabilities that speak to what you want to do with your life.

You can only impact the people around you when you use your God-given talents to serve society. By tapping into your God-given potential, you can improve your own living conditions as well as those living around you.

Remember you make things better when you utilize what you have to make a better world. And that is a great way of giving honour and glory to the Great Spirit.

Find a way to give back to society. What is not given is lost forever.

Think of people who have impacted this world with their ideas, dreams, vision and achievements. Life has become better for people as a result of what they have done. Think of people like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Henry Ford, King Camp Gillette, Thomas Edison and a host of other world changers.

Come home and look at people whose names ring a bell. Have you heard of Prince Kofi Amoabeng? He is a retired army captain, but today a successful business tycoon. He is the CEO of UT Bank. He had an inspiring vision to serve humanity, improve his lot and also help the poor.

He looked for people who believed in his ideas. He first started with those who knew, his friends who had money to invest and people who needed money to start their businesses. This gave birth to UT Financial Services. He was/is a very well disciplined person who served his customers with integrity, honesty and commitment. His business acumen saw the transformation of UT Financial Services into UT Bank and added other businesses to serve the wider Ghanaian populace. UT Bank has taken a national character and is present in seven of the ten regions in Ghana.

His accomplishments can rightly be attributed to living a purpose driven life. So many people can now boast of a decent life, thanks to working with his companies.

It will interest readers to know that Prince Amoabeng is into philanthropic activities as well. Out of the goodness of his heart, he has given to the poor and some needy institutions.

You can also think of the likes of Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, Dr. Mensah Otabil, Dr. Agyekum Addo, Mr Tony Oteng Gyasi, and Mr. Asoma Bandah who are impacting lives through their businesses. They have created jobs for many people.

Living a purpose driven life will help bring your innovative and creative powers alive. Your inventions can make life more comfortable and easy. Value addition can make your product or service attract better prices leading to higher profits and a better life.

What is your legacy? How do you want to be remembered? How you live defines who you are and the choices you make will determine what impact you will have on the lives of others. Do not underrate your ideas and actions. Your ability to impact your generation and generations to come will depend on your ability, diligence and commitment to turn your dreams into reality.

Living with purpose helps you focus on what is important. You are driven by passion, enthusiasm, a burning desire and a determination to make something of your life.

If you have a purpose for your life, surround yourself with people who are supportive, positive and encouraging. Do not listen to your inner critic or those who tell you that you are merely fantasizing and that your dreams are impossible to achieve.

Whatever is your chosen field, look for mentors to help you make a successful journey. They will teach you the skills of navigation, so you can successfully surmount every difficulty that may come your way.

You can also receive training or be taught to polish your skills so you can operate more effectively.

People who live with purpose are more likely to enjoy life better than those who idle because they have something to live for and die for. When you live with purpose, there is motivation to get things done.

In conclusion, be determined from this moment forward to live a purpose driven life. Have this strong belief that God has created you to make a mark in this world. Fulfill your God-given potential by utilizing your special skills, talents and other natural endowments to make the world a better place than you came to meet it. Let your life touch the lives of others positively. Do not be discouraged when things are not going the way you want. Pursue your dream or purpose with resilience, diligence and perseverance until Providence smiles on you. Live with purpose and be a world changer.
