Dont Let Academic Paper Qualifications Deceive You Into Voting For Highly Corrupt Persons

Who would you vote for in the upcoming 2016 general election were you to be presented with two choices? The choices are one candidate has chains of higher academic qualifications with a CV (Curriculum Vitae) stating as such. However, he is rotten to the core with corruption. He is clueless and highly incompetent in managing the affairs of the State. The other choice is a candidate who has fewer qualifications but is incorruptible, dynamic, dedicated, and honest and knows how to manage things.

Will you not be enticed to vote for the one with chains of higher academic qualifications because in Ghana, academics with say, PhD degrees, are held in high esteem? I quite remember that in Ghana, the knowledge of English is a criterion for a man’s great learning. Therefore, having chains of higher education qualifications is an indication of a person’s success and respectability in society.

Does being highly qualified with say, First Class University degrees in various disciplines and, or PhD, make one a successful Statesman even if the one is inherently corrupt?

I personally know for a fact that most successful politicians, or to be very specific, Statesmen, as well as private individuals are not always those with higher academic qualifications but those who are honest, hard working, and are dedicated to achieving their aims and objectives in selfless manner.

Look at the American Bill Gates of Microsoft, the world’s no. 1 richest man. Look at the UK’s Richard Branson of Virgin mobile phone, Virgin trains, Virgin Stores, Virgin airways etc. and the late UK Prime Minister Wilson Churchill. Which of them has or had chains of higher academic/paper qualifications? None of them has or had PhD yet they are or were all extremely successful all because they pursued their dreams and goals with selfless dedication and dynamism.

Now, who will you vote for if given the strictest obligation to choose between say, Fiifi Kwetey who has a Masters in Finance or whatever, but is not only incompetent in managing the affairs of the country but also, corrupt and another person who has only a first degree of say, a third class but is competent, honest and incorruptible?

For President Mahama, I know him to be corrupt, incompetent, nepotistic and insulting but with Masters in Journalism or some sort of discipline. I know Nana Akufo Addo to be a reputable lawyer with an alleged third class degree in Economics but highly incorruptible with selfless dedication to be of service to his nation and people.

It takes an incorruptible person with foresight to succeed in governing a nation than the one who will dish out State money to his cronies and a few loudmouths to talk good about him to the public even when he is failing with things falling apart or collapsing all around him like a pack of cards.

Fifii Kwetey can go about mocking Nana Addo about his CV but for that who cares except those who are as ignorant as himself. He had rather better stop his corruption than to seek to paint Nana Addo darker than he appears in the eyes of the Ghanaian electorates.

Nana Akufo Addo is the person who can liberate Ghanaians from the miseries of economic hardships, lawlessness, practice of selective justice, joblessness, armed robbery and nation mismanagement as visited upon Ghana by President Mahama and his bunch of Ghanaian version of the “Arabian Ali Baba and his forty thieves”.

Tell me, apart from my own Kumawuman compatriot Dr Kwabena Dufour who holds a PhD, with a few others including Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, what have those with chains of academic qualifications reaching to the higher firmaments, done to help Ghana and the collective interests of the citizens apart from using their “book long” intelligence to flay mother Ghana and then chew her flesh to the bone?

Fiifi Kwetey, Kuko Anyidoho, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and all those questioning the CV of Nana Akufo Addo are all big time jokers or thieves, if I am not afraid to say. Are they all not fraudulently enriching themselves in one way or the other with their higher paper qualifications as though they majored in thievery?

Ghanaian electorates, the choice is yours. You are faced with choosing between the corrupt person (John Mahama with Fiifi Kwetey, Koku Anyidoho alias Margaret Jackson/Nana Akua Tweneboa Kodua Johnson Asiedu Nketiah alias General Mosquito, Amissah-Arthur) and the honest person (Nana Akufo Addo with Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, Alan Kyeremateng etc.)

I shall choose the incorruptible man any day any time over the bunch of incompetent and corrupt persons including Fiifi Kwetey.
