Did Omane-Boamah Receive A Cut Of Woyome’s Mega-Heist?

Finally, the chickens are coming home to roost. If unfettered justice is allowed to have its way, Ghanaians would soon learn the scandalous details of how the GH₵ 51 million criminally paid into the private bank account of Mr. Alfred Agbesi Woyome, the notorious National Democratic Congress’ underwriter, was divvied up among the movers and shakers of the ruling party. Bear in mind the $ 5 million Abacha Payola in order to be able to make perfect sense of this humongous racket, the likes of which has never been witnessed in our country’s postcolonial history.

This mouth-watering impending revelation has, of course, been made possible by former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Mr. Martin Amidu, who has been doggedly fighting to have each and every Ghanaian citizen who cares about honest and selfless leadership get to the bottom of this hitherto unprecedented collusive attempt to thoroughly wreck the hard-won sovereignty and integrity of the august Republic of Ghana, an unrivaled leader in the much-hallowed African liberation movement of the 1950s and ’60s.

It is a very significant event of epic proportions because thoroughly unearthing HEIST WOYOME holds the key to drastically reducing the insufferably high and unacceptable spate of rank official bribery and corruption in the country. But even more significantly must be critically observed that it was his morally righteous and adamantly dogged attempt to exposing such massive thievery among the vanguard rank membership of the National Democratic Congress’ leadership that saw Mr. Amidu summarily and ingloriously booted out of the Atta-Mills government.

At the time, I vividly recall observing the fact that the sometime running-mate of then-Candidate John Evans Atta-Mills had been a little too slow to act on HEIST WOYOME, once it became crystal clear that this racket involved far more than a few crooks and dirty hands in the highest echelons of the Rawlings-minted National Democratic Congress’ political machine. In short, by presuming to have promptly silenced Mr. Amidu with a ministerial jack-booting, Apartheid South African-style, the architects and criminal collaborators of this epic looting of the people’s wealth had obviously hoped to suavely paper over this heinous scam in perpetuity.

Now, refreshingly, thanks to the man who has been affectionately nicknamed THE CITIZEN VIGILANTE, it turns out that in imperiously and self-righteously presuming to have peremptorily and definitively put HEIST WOYOME to the permanent and eternal sleep of the dead, the battle for fair play and justice had only begun. Short of any foul play, and we all know that the key operatives of the National Democratic Congress are globally renowned for the same, come November 24, 2016, with scarcely a fortnight before perhaps the most significant electoral fisticuffs between the country’s two major political parties, namely, the ruling National Democratic Congress and the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Ghanaians and the global community, at large, would auspiciously be afforded an insider’s view of what really happened to the GH₵ 51 million question, as it were, when the vengefully dismissed and abjectly humiliated Atta-Mills Attorney-General and Minister of Justice gets his turn to be deservedly glorified, as well as “heroified” under the sun (See “Full Text: Supreme Court’s Ruling on Amidu’s Application to Examine Woyome” Ghanaweb.com 11/17/16).

We shall have quite a bit to remark on and about the afore-referenced document in due course; perhaps well after the fact. For now, however, we have decided to focus our attention on a very brief but politically loaded news article captioned “Even Murderers Win Cases, Let Alone ‘Liars’ – Omane-Boamah” (Ultimatefmonline.com/ Ghanaweb.com 11/16/16), in which the notorious scofflaw and Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane-Boamah, pathetically attempts to impugn the integrity of his intellectual, moral and political superior, to wit, Mr. Martin Amidu. Dr. Omane-Boamah is one of the legion government insiders who have been fighting tooth and nail to eviscerate the inalienable democratic right of the looted, or plundered, Ghanaian taxpayer to knowledge about who his/her white-collar muggers are, as well as how the latter divvied up their loot, and for what purpose or purposes.

Dr. Omane-Boamah, who has had the temerity to call Mr. Amidu a “psychopathic liar,” having hopelessly lost the battle to have his arch-nemesis muzzled by the Wood Supreme Court, now wistfully claims that since even certified murderers have been known to sometimes get away with capital punishment, it perfectly stands to reason that the Mahama Posse would be judicially floored by Mr. Amidu. Needless to say, the Mahama tout ought to have thought about his rather preposterous assertion before he and his boss and paymaster, President John “Ford Expedition Payola” Mahama, decided to duke it out with a man much cranially bigger than themselves.

At any rate, it has been clearly demonstrated, time and time again, that it is only when the judicial system is hopelessly broken down – or kaput – that certified murderers and fraudsters like the Mahama Posse get to ride roughshod over the tentacles of justice. Only then, also, do criminal scofflaws like Messrs. Omane-Boamah and Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa get away with judicial contempt.
