Committment! Committment! Committment!
Committment is the state of being dedicated and consecrated to a particular course…within a firm, industry, groups, church, school, hospitals, homes, abodes….etc
This is telling us that the word Committment is needed everywhere you find your self therefore, it is one strong pillar that holds a set or established organization..be it local or international.
Committment exempted in any organization is not termed to be an organization. Committment therefore comes with some qualities and we are going to discuss each of them one by one?
1. Dedication
2. Faithfulness
3. Consecration
4. Obligation
5. Loyalty
Now, faithfulness.
Every organization has its own set rules and regulations governing it. It is up to you and i to take that mantle and be true(faithful) to these set rules without breaching. By so doing, it boosts ur regularity and punctuality and reminds you that you have something bounding you incase u feel like breaching any. And the breaching may come accross when one is offended by the other, or when one is being treated unfairly.
In a foundation, there might be people who are always being motivated to work harder buh others because of their dormancy towards work, will not be recognized BUT i know and believe that if u are faithful, and abide by all dese rules u wudnt av been exempted.
Loyalty, will not cause you to not to be content with what you have. The fact that the group or organization hasnt reached where you expect it to be, doesnt mean you should undermine any sort of work that comes by…..just back it and help in your own way and lead it to perfection. You wouldnt compare any group to yours if you are loyal. But rather work harder towards progression
Consecration and dedication, will not let you abandon your ability to cause progress. It will rather encourage you to be submissive and willingly attend to any call from your group
Consecration and dedication works interrelatedly to be consecrated to a course means you are “bound to do” without any regret. Therefore it takes determination. Whereas dedication means are “bound to doing” without any complaint..because you willingly submitted yourself. Therefore dedication takes perseverance and sustained faith in humility to complete..
Hope we are following? We now move to Obligation. Obligation, responsibility, or duty is a form of command which assigns you indirectly with your notice.
Note…it commands you indirectly but with your notice.
Why am i saying it commands you indirectly.—- this is simply because we all have set duties to perform, therefore, whether you do it or not, you are answerable for its outcome. Now, lets see something here, that duty is commanding you, whether u do it or not, you are answerable for.(indirect). But with ur notice)—-because you will by all means give an answer be it negative or positive. Now, a particular foundation who believes in a goal and wants to achieve it shows a certain degree of commitment *BUT* this can olny be met by individual ENGAGEMENT towards that Goal.
Now, lets see the difference beween *engagement* and *committment*. Being a part of an achieved goal can mean you were either engaged in it but not committed or you were either committed but not engaged in it?. It has a simple difference. Just one difference. You wanna know????
The difference is, engagement is that attitude of a follower or a leader that denotes his or her enthusiasmfor his or her job, whiles committment denotes the enthusiasm for the company he or she works for. You cant only be submissive to ur job only…without the company, u wudnt av got the job or particular department u work for. Without Rhema Youth Foundation, i wouldnt have been in the writers department. Therefore be dedicated and consecrated with faithfulness in loyalty for it is your obligation to work towards progression commitedly, for your company.
