Dear Youth Employment Recruits,
I’m reliably informed that the national boss of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) had a secret meeting with you in Tumu on Tuesday, the 15th of November, 2016. He, together with his local appointees commanded you to vote for president Mahama and the NDC parliamentary candidates. They also told you that in an event that you vote against the NDC or Ghanaians vote out the incompetent and corrupt NDC come the 7th of December, 2016, In sha Allah, the NPP under the able and caring leadership of Nana Addo and Dr Bawumia will sack you all. They then promised you better conditions from next year. Based on this, I wish to state some irrefutable propaganda free facts to you and give you a golden advice.
1. It’s a fact that the NPP brought the national youth employment programme (NYEP) when they were in government.
2. It’s a fact that by the time the NPP was leaving government in 2009, 110,000 youth were employed under the programme.
3. It’s a fact that president Mahama and the NDC criticised the NYEP when they were in opposition.
4. It’s a fact that the NDC government changed the NYEP to GYEEDA.
5. It’s a fact that the NDC collapsed GYEEDA through corruption and thievery.
6. It’s a fact that president Mahama didn’t prosecute the corrupt Kofi Humado and others who were implicated in the GYEEDA stealing spree.
7. It’s a fact that the NDC for 8yrs can only employ a little over 60,000 youth in the youth employment programme. This is about half of the number the NPP employed.
8. It’s a fact that the NDC government under president Mahama abandoned the youth employment programme until when it’s some very few months to elections before he restarted it.
9. It’s a fact that all those of you currently employed are not yet paid.
10. It’s a fact that you the current employees are planned to be paid some monies when it’s some few days to elections.
11. It’s a fact that you people are employed due to political expediency and are going to be sacked by the president Mahama led NDC government immediately after the 2016 elections, if they win, God forbid.
12. It’s a fact that there’s a freeze on employing new people and some of the already existing workers are going to be laid off due to the killer IMF conditions.
13. It’s a fact that president Mahama and the NDC consider you as youth with very short memories and very gullible.
I will kindly plead with you to ignore the propaganda and lies from the bosses of the Youth Employment Agency that the government of Nana Addo and Dr Bawumia will sack you from January 2017. Know that voting for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP is a vote for your future. Don’t let anyone deceive you. The NYEP is the brainchild of the NPP. We won’t throw it away and we won’t collapse it. The NPP is a caring mother and Nana Addo is a competent, incorruptible, honest, humble, patriotic and decisive leader.
