According to her, media personnel can streamline their content using technology to increase their following and earn massive endorsement from giant companies to be able to rake in more income.

She gave the advice during this year’s editors forum organized annually by the company for media personnel in the Central Region at Elmina on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.

“As you all know MTN has done and continue to partner with the media and we intend to continue doing this so don’t wait around for anybody, take advantage of this to invest in yourselves”, she advised.

“I will urge you all to develop your own blogs. Do not wait for somebody else to take the step before you follow because the more followers you have, the more power you have. Your voice becomes a leader’s voice because of the platform you have and companies will come to you for advertisement because they want access to those that are following you”, she added.

She underscored the importance of technology saying it helps in storing records every step of the way.

According to Mrs Lumor, the demand for data has grown rapidly to 164%  from 2015 to 2017, adding that the company’s commercial 4G has grown from quarter to quarter to about 97% since its introduction in June last year.

“We paid more than $ 67.5 million for our 4 G license alone and even spent more to make sure that our 4Gsites have been deployed”, she hinted.

“By the end of last year we had 475 4G sites and we are adding even more this year with the prices you pay being the same”, she added.

The Corporate Executive disclosed that MTN has16 partner banks for the mobile money service with nine million registered customers but 6 million active ones.
