HON ACHEAMPONG TAMPI SIMON’S SOLIDARITY MESSAGE TO HIS CONSTITUENTS UPON THE RECENT ROBBERY ATTACK IN TATALE/SANGULI DISTRICT.

On behalf of the people of Tatale/Sanguli constituency, I wish to express my sincerest and deepest condolences to the bereaved families for the loss of their beloved ones and also to the victims who lost valuable items in the recent broad daylight robbery attack. This barbaric and insensate attack should be condemned in all uncertainties.

I want to use this medium to assure each and every one in Tatale sanguli constituency a maximum security for everyone. It is my hope and prayer, that this incident does not show its ugly face in our district anymore.

Let me use this opportunity as well, to congratulate the joint force from the security officers and the people in the surrounding communities for the bravely they exhibited to clamp down those notorious Armed robbers and I say thank you and may the Almighty replenish whatever you have lost in this fight.

NOW THE WAY FORWARD

The porous nature of the district in terms of security is a major concern. I have since the incident, being in constant touch with the divisional and regional police commanders. They have assured of providing more police officers at the District.

Upon my return to Accra, I will be presenting a statement on the floor of parliament to officially inform the speaker and the minister. I will be presenting among other things, the need for more police post at vantage points. Especially:

1. Tatale, Kpalbutabu to Nahuyili stretch

2. Tatale Tatindo to Sanguli stretch

3. Tatale Sangban stretch.

I would urge everyone therefore to remain resolute and calm. The security agencies are on guard for the safety of everyone and to avert any eventuality. The religious bodies should as well pray for peace for the District. The pastors and Rev. Fathers should devote some time in their normal service to pray for the district. The Imams should as well devote one of their Friday
