The late Major Mahama was today laid to rest at the Osu Cemetery. The burial and and funeral ceremony drew thousands of Ghanaians from all walks of life who came to pay their last respect to the fallen soldier.
Among the people who converged at the State House to bid their final farewell were his colleagues from the Ghana Army. Sadness and soberness expectedly characterized the whole event.
But in their sorrowful mood, the men and women in uniform still found their voice to sing some jama songs to wish their fallen colleague a peaceful journey home.
