Empire Entertainment, organisers of the annual ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ concert have announced Shatta Wale, M.anifest, Davido, Falz and Tiwa Savage as the performers for this year’s edition.
This was made known at a press launch organized at the Kokomlemle Corporate offices of uniBank, sponsors of this year’s event, Tuesday.
Nii Ayi, DJ Vyrusky, and DJ Lord were also announced as disc jockeys for the event touted as the biggest concert in the region. They will be supported by Nigerian counterpart DJ OB.
Addressing the gathering, Laillah Crystal Banda, a representative from Empire Entertainment promised a uniquely golden concert look and feel this year.
“This year’s rendition rides the concept synonymous with the recently ended elections. Candidates from various parties were vying for the presidential seat so Empire borrows from that idea asking, ‘with this struggle of power, which artiste will sit on the seat of power?’ The idea also stems from the fact that for the past years, the conversation has been about one individual winning or even losing and even further, one nation winning or losing… Official tagline is conquer, command and control,” she stated.
Over the years, Ghana Meets Naija has been known as the platform for the biggest artistes in both Ghana and Nigeria to share one stage and thrill music lovers from both countries.
It has always seen massive patronage because of the list of top African acts it parades. This year’s is slated for March 27 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
