He was not around when the burglars attacked and took away his laptop, some documents and an undisclosed amount of money.

But he suspects the attackers were after his life, noting that there were more valuable items in his room but were not touched by the supposed robbers who should have had a field day in his absence.

He felt let down by the Judicial Service, claiming the institution has not made his security a priority.

“I am going to Accra, I have even asked the houseboy to pack; I am taking him away,” Justice Senyo Amedahe told TV3’s William Evans-Nkum in an exclusive interview at his residence on Tuesday.

The judge appeared even more dejected by the attitude of the Judicial Service after the attack.

“The inactivity of my people, the Judicial Service, they make me feel helpless and hopeless,” he sounded despaired, pointing out that his residence has not had any renovation for years as it sits in an unsecured environment in addition.

The high court judge is also surprised the watchman hired by the Judicial Service to guard the house who he said neglected his duty when the robbers came around has yet to be questioned.

When Evans asked if he was demoralised by the incident, Justice Amedahe exclaimed “ah!” and went on to describe himself as someone who is not lazy.

Feeling insecure, Justice Senyo Amedahe insisted that he will leave the region, expressing disappointment in the level of concerns exhibited by the Judicial service.
