Former President Rawlings was gifted a 1993 Chevrolet Corvette car when he turned 70 on Thursday.
The car is a unique collectible version of a classic American sports car.
It is however unclear who made the former President’s birthday a memorable one with this gift.
The Former President Jerry John Rawlings marked his birthday with members of his family and friends on Thursday.
Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, the Member of Parliament of the Korle Klottey constituency and Jerry Rawlings’ daughter among others paid a glowing tribute to her father on Facebook. “Dad, I know that some day when the roll is being called, your name, J. J Rawlings will be inscribed in gold. I’m proud to be your daughter,” she said.
