The second round is traditionally more exciting, as it is the round which will seal the fate of those battling for the ultimate, as well as those fighting to beat the drop into Division One.

WAFA were the stand-out team of the first round, and their title-chasing rivals like Aduana Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak will be aiming at overtaking them in the second round.

The likes of Ashantigold, who had a very difficult first round will hope to have a quick turn around to rescue their season.

Week sixteen of the league promises more excitement, with interesting regional derbies on offer.

In Accra, Hearts of Oak will be looking forward to registering a league double over Liberty Professionals after thumping the Scientific Soccer Lads in the last match of the first round. The Phobians host Liberty at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In Accra again, Great Olympics will hope their new-found revival will continue when they host Berekum Chelsea. Olympics held Chelsea to a 0:0 draw in Accra.

Accra will have another taste of week 16 action when Inter Allies host leaders WAFA at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko had a tottering end to the first round, going eight matches without a win. With a new coach in charge, Kotoko will be hoping for a quick return to form when they travel to Tema as guests of Tema Youth.

In Dormaa, there will be a Brong Ahafo derby between Aduana Stars and Bechem United. The first match in the first round in Bechem ended 1:1.

There will be another regional derby in Cape Coast with Ebusua Dwarfs hosting Elmina Sharks. Dwarfs will be hoping to avenge their 1:0 first round defeat to Sharks in Elmina.

Wa All Stars will host Ashantigold in Wa, while Medeama SC will also host Bolga All Stars in Tarkwa.
