Barbara Mahama, the young widow and a mother of two is said to be traumatized and has remained incommunicado since the said news went viral.
The late Captain Maxwell Mahama is related to the ex-President John Mahama, a grand-nephew to the former Speaker of Parliament, Mrs. Bamford Addo, the great-grandfather, Lt. Bamford was a former IGP and his father, Retired Captain Mahama also worked closely with the current Chief of Defence.
In a tweet, the President expressed his condolences to the family of Captain Mahama on their tragic loss.
Meanwhile, President Nana Akufo Addo has assured that persons involved in the killing will be arrested and dealt with ruthlessly according to the law.
