One of Ghana’s best highlife musicians, Ofori Amponsah, has picked his 2015 hit single, Alewa, as his all time best music due its technical perfection.
Speaking to the host of Anigye Mmre, Christian Agyei Frimpong, on Onua FM, he explained that the technical composition of the Alewa track which featured hiplife artiste Sarkodie, was superb.
“I have composed, recorded a number of songs like Odow, Otolege, Auntie Ataa, Asew, I think there is something special about Alewa. Alewa is superb, it is still being played. Alewa is a very powerful song, I’m talking about how it was technically arranged,” he explained.
Although he admitted that his Otoolege track was huge and people may have their choice of his songs, “I will choose Alewa among all my songs” on technical grounds.
Ofori Amponsah, also known as Mr All 4 Real received backlash when he recently switched from his new gospel genre to the previous highlife, which earned him 17 Vodafone Ghana Music honours.
