AshantiGold midfielder Emmanuel Osei Baffour says his main target for the season is to help his side to escape relegation in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
In an interview with Onua FM Sports, the sensational midfielder admitted his focus in the league now is ensuring that the Obuasi base club remains in the GPL.
“My target is to help the team (AshantiGold SC) to escape from the relegation zone and be in a proper position. That is my main target for now.”
AshantiGold SC is currently battling relegation in the GPL, lying 13th on the league table with 28 points. The ‘miners’ continue to fight for survival after losing one and winning five in their last six matches.
He observed togetherness and hard work in the team is also aiding the club, adding that new signings made by the club has also worked perfectly for the team.
“We are working together and the signings made by the club has also helped the team. They (new signings) are all doing well.”
