Rockstone’s first daughter is now 30 years…
More respect should be accorded Ghana’s grand pa in the music industry, Reggie Rockstone whose 1st daughter just turned 30. Phoebe Ossei, the oldest child of rapper, Reggie Rockstone celebrated her 30th birthday on Monday, July 17, at the popular Rockstone’s Office in Accra.
Phoebe is Rockstone’s child from an earlier relationship before his marriage to Zilla Hagbangsuglo Limann, the sixth child of the third president of Ghana, Dr. Hilla Limann. Hilla Limann was the President of Ghana from September 24, 1979, to December 31, 1981. He died on January 23, 1998.
Reggie and Zilla who have been married for over a decade now, have three children together named Ricci, Zuzu and Rehji-Zaida.

Reggie Rockstone had revealed that he divorced his first after she slept with his best friend. The very disappointing incident he had said in an interview, inspired his popular hit single ‘Ah’ which won him Best Video at the 2004 KORA Awards in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Known as the Godfather of Hiplife, Rockstone pioneered the Hiplife art form and has played an important role in the development of this uniquely African genre in Ghana’s capital Accra. Rockstone has books and a documentary about him and his hip life titled; Living The Hiplife: Celebrity and Entrepreneurship in Ghanaian Popular Music.
The book covers everything that has to do with the production and circulation of Hip Life music. The 53-year-old was born to fashion designer Ricky Ossei in the UK. The Achimota old boy came back to Ghana while still very young, and grew up in Kumasi and Accra.
Reggie Rockstone joined VIP after Emmanuel Ababio (Promzy)’s exit from the music group, which also had members Joseph Nana Ofori (Prodigal), and Abdul Hamid Ibrahim (Lazzy now Zeal). The group parted way after almost two decades of recording and performing together. The group now goes with the name VVIP and Reggie’s wife, Zilla has been managing them for the past three years.
