Fortune Dane is currently one of the hottest and most sought after music producers in Ghana. Fortune has been making waves after his production works for BET Award winner and 2 times Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the year winner, Sarkodie for his songs like ‘Original’ and ‘Dear Rap’.

Born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel to musician parents, Fortune Dane Kwadwo Asare, known as “Fortune Dane” in the music industry had his first magical moment getting acquainted with “noise” on his sixth birthday when his dad bought him a drum set on his sixth birthday. According to him, that was the best day of his life.

At age eight, he got introduced to Hip Hop listening to Will Smith, LL Cool J, Salt N Pepper, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eazy E, Rakim, Nas, and others. At that time period, he discovered he could sing and he joined a choir at school in church.

At age eleven, Fortune Dane started rapping and writing songs but decided to start making his own beats when didn’t like the outcome of the production of the studio he recorded in.

I took notice of hip hop producers who produced hits for recording artistes. I took notice of Scott Storch, DJ Khaled and Dr. Dre. I became a huge fan of these three and at a point in time, I started messing with drums and keyboards and it felt really easy. I knew then that I could do this.
