Celebrity beef is an in thing in the Ghana entertainment industry, but the one between Dance Hall King Shatta Wale and his colleague, Stonebwoy appears to be the mostly hyped. For sometime now, almost every Ghanaian music lover and some other fans outside the country who knows Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy believes the duo never cross paths.
The two musicians who both specialized in Dance Hall have also on several occasions, through their attitudes or comments about each other, stamped the widespread belief that they are strong rivals.
However, a recent development has cancelled out all the ‘beefy’ outlooks, beliefs and rumours. A twitter conversation between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy following the former’s visit to the presidency has simply made it clear that the ‘beef thing’ between them is a mere facade – a complete hoax! Recall that ahead of Shatta Wale’s 33rd birthday, he tweeted President Nana Akufo-Addo, informing him about his day, asking what the president would offer him. In response to the tweet on his birthday, Nana Addo suggested the Dance Hall King pays him a visit at the Flagstaff House.
Shatta Wale honoured the invitation and paid the President a visit at the seat of government yesterday being Wednesday, November ]. Following the visit, President Akufo-Addo tweeted:
“The “Dancehall King”, @shattawalegh, was at the Presidency this afternoon to pay me a visit, after my invitation to him, on his birthday.”
Reacting to the tweet, fellow Dance Hall star, Stonebwoy took to his official twitter handle to congratulate Shatta Wale. He also asked the President when he will be paying his own visit, while seeking Shatta’s opinion.

Shatta quickly replied, urging Stonebwoy to also pay Nana Addo a visit so as to collect his own ‘share’. In addition, the SM leader said he told the President about something he previously discussed with Stonebwoy!
“Chale bro no waste time ooo ..Go take yours you deserve it too …i told him what we talked about ..we good star!!!” he said.
This second line of Shatta’s response to Stonebwoy “…i told him what we talked about ..we good star” is really the point of attraction!
It has simply told the opposing fans of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy that while they are busy fighting over who rules, their bosses – the SM King and the BHIM Nation CEO are busy chatting over a sweet cup of coffee!
