Real Madrid and Barcelona could swoop for Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi, according to the player’s agent.
Martin Sendoa claims Otamendi will be pursued by the Bernabau club if, as expected, Pepe departs for the Chinese Super League in the summer.
“Pepe is leaving Real Madrid and Otamendi fits the profile they are looking for,” he told Radio Continental.
“Jorge Mendes [Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent] is also managing Otamendi in Europe.”
Barcelona are also reportedly long-term admirers of Otamendi, but Sendoa insisted his client was happy in England, adding:
” Barcelona have also followed him since he was at Valencia. Nico is happy at Manchester City. But who wouldn’t like to play at Real Madrid? It’s the biggest club in the world.”
