“This league is very tough and today, Tottenham has showed us”, manager Antonio Conte says.
Conte’s side beat Tottenham 2-1 at the Stamford Bridge to record their seventh straight league victory. This win reinforced Chelsea’s position on top of the table although not a too comfortable place to be.
Despite Chelsea’s impeccable run this past few weeks and winning all seven in their last seven matches, Coach Antonio Conte has emphasized that, Chelsea is not too safe and should stay humble in order to win the trophy.
He however could not entirely hide his excitement saying, “When you win a special derby, you must be happy”.
His 3-4-3 philosophy seems to be in favor of the team since it has revitalized the likes of Eden Hazard who was nowhere near his 2014/2015 form last season. The introduction of Marcos Alonso has reduced Hazard’s work load which gives him space to concentrate on his duty upfront.
Of course, we cannot talk about revitalization under Conte era without talking about Moses who seems to be enjoying his spell under new manager. Conte has shown delight in his player on several occasions describing him as a “very good player”.
Chelsea is on top of the league table, one point away from Liverpool and Manchester City who are second and third respectively.
