Mozambique’s trust among external cooperation partners seem to be following the right path, as Germany announced on Friday in Maputo its interest to inject 118 million euros for development programs in the country.
The amount will be allocated to the sectors of education, decentralization, professional trainings economic development and public finances and it is considered a strong indicator of trust restoring towards the Mozambican government.
“We trust that our combined work will have a positive impact in the development programs of the country to improve living conditions of Mozambican people,” said the Germany Ambassador to Mozambique, Detlev Wolter.
The strongest economy in European Union expressed its will to continue supporting Mozambique and its efforts towards a sustainable and inclusive development.
Oldemiro Baloi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique, said that this is a reason of satisfaction to see Germany keeping up its support for the country’s fight against poverty.
“This is a moment to say that true friends and faithful partners never leave the both in tough moments,” said Baloi.
Both officials signed two memorandums that will drive the disbursement of the amount. Enditem
