Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin has posted a positive injury update after he had to leave the field following a clash with Marcos Alonso in Saturday’s Premier League clash.
The Gunners defender was floored by Alonso as both players contested a header after the ball had rebounded back off the crossbar following Diego Costa’s effort.
The ball ended up in the back of the net to give Chelsea the lead, although there were further repercussions for Bellerin, who had to be taken off having been visibly shaken up by the challenge.

Antonio Conte’s side would go on to win the game 3-1, courtesy of further goals from Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas, moving them 12 points clear of the Gunners in the table.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, meanwhile, reflected on the incident after the game, telling reporters that Bellerin did not even know the score in the game after the heavy fall to the ground.
He told reporters: “Was he completely knocked out? He didn’t know the result of the game at the time. He didn’t see the goal.
“The decision [to substitute Bellerin] was, for me, very quick, but we have to respect that. It is the head.”
Spanish right-back Bellerin has since taken to Twitter to provide an update on the injury, insisting that he is recovering well and looking forward to getting back on the pitch.
He wrote on the social media site: “Thank you for all the messages. I’m recovering well at home and will soon be back on the pitch to help the team fight back!”
