Ghanaian showbiz personality and former broadcaster, Mabelle Prior has made a call to African governments to create more awareness on breast cancer and provide the needed support for treatment for women that are affected with the disease.
Mabelle made this call when she supported ABC Foundation, an NGO based in Nigeria in an awareness creation and free breast screening exercise for women and girls in Akesan town of Igando-Ikotun LCDA in Lagos State.
Out of 112 women and girls who were examined, 12 of them representing 10% were reported to have the disease.
Mabelle praised the organizers of the campaign and encouraged them to find ways to further assist the affected women get better treatment.
Mabelle Prior is the founder and president of Miss Swiss Most Beautiful pageant which was established to empower young women.
