Prosecutors dropped the assault case against the boyfriend of Jocelyn “Catwoman” Wildenstein, Lloyd Klein, for allegedly hurling her to the ground — and now he says they are deeply in love again and can’t wait to be reunited.
Fashion designer Klein was on Monday cleared in a Manhattan court of claims he was involved in a catfight with Wildenstein over possessions at her Trump Tower pad last December.
Just three days earlier, Klein had Wildenstein arrested for allegedly slashing him with scissors and scratching him with her fingernails.
Now he says he’s no longer pressing charges, and defended her as “whimsical” and “beautiful.”
Klein said of the incident, “This is the result of a situation that got out of hand We have been together for 14 years, we were never at war and we are still in love.”
The pair has not been able to talk during the legal proceedings, but their lawyers have been in contact and they plan to reunite after her Feb. 15 court date when he’ll drop assault charges against her.
The designer, who met Wildenstein at his fashion show, blasted those who make assumptions based on her dramatic looks. She became known as “The Bride of Wildenstein” for undergoing cosmetic surgery to make her look like a cat.
He said, “Jocelyn is a wonderful lady, she is extremely refined and is a woman of great taste.
She is a very whimsical, magical, very special and beautiful person. Yes, she is different, she has something other people do not have. I always said beauty is very subjective.
Yes she did have a bit of surgery — we know that — but she didn’t change her face to look like a cat.
I’ve seen pictures of her when she was 17 and she looked the same as now, she has always looked feline.”
He believes Wildenstein has been smeared in the press, who purposefully pick the worst pictures of her: “In real life she looks much better than this, when I take photos she looks beautiful.
I am a designer, I see the most beautiful women all the time, and she is one of them.
When you are someone with exotic looks you should be celebrated, not judged. When people meet her they are mesmerized.”
