President Donald Trump is pretty handy with a golf club, but his prowess appears to have just received a significant upgrade courtesy of the official White House transcript.
When top aide Anthony Scaramucci recently boasted of Trump’s sporting ability, it seemingly underwhelmed this ultra-competitive White House.
“He’s the most competitive person I’ve ever met, okay?” Scaramucci said during his first trip to the White House podium last week, singing the president’s praises.
“I’ve seen this guy throw a dead spiral through a tire, I’ve seen him at Madison Square Garden with a topcoat on, he’s standing in the key and he’s hitting foul shots and swishing them, okay.”
“He sinks three-foot putts,” he added, surprising golf fans who know that modest distance should be easily makeable to anyone who has played even mini golf.
But Trump then got a 27-foot gimme from the White House stenographers — who reported Scaramucci as saying Trump “sinks 30-foot putts,” a distance that professional Jordan Spieth would be pleased with.
