Award-winning DJ and musician, Vision DJ, is among showbiz personalities who got nominations at the 2017 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA.
He got nominated for best DJ of the year, while his song titled ‘Grind’, featuring A. I also got nominated for best song of the year for the award ceremony in the US.
Other entertainment personalities like Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, EL, Efya, Joe Mettle, Lydia Forson and a host of others were all nominated.
His latest single titled, ‘Double Trouble’, featuring Sarkodie and King Promise is not just a good music but it is enjoying great airplay.
Born Francis Essah Aboagye, Vision DJ is the first Ghanaian DJ to be nominated for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) since its inception 18 years ago.
The award-winning radio, club and event DJ does his talking through his music, showcasing his talent and passion for music.
He started his DJ days during his secondary school years at Koforidua Sec-Tech. After that, he enrolled at the Central University College in Tema, where he read Banking & Finance. He continued pursuing his career in the music industry throughout college, and played on Vibe FM (now Live FM) from 2007-2009 before joining YFM.
Currently, he is one of the few DJs with hit songs and many award nominations to his credit.
