The 2017 edition of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards- VGMAs is on this evening. Yes, the D-day is here with us, and who wins what??
Well, preparations are far advanced and the organizers are more than 94% prepared to run the show this evening per what I observed last night.
Lots of the performing artistes have done their dress rehearsals; Stonebwoy is super-charged and will bring choreographers on stage, Becca will be bringing some ladies on stage and will be performing her Beshiwo song as well as Na Wash. Akwaboah is charged up for the show same as Adina and Kwami Eugene.
I can tell you that the Artiste of the year winner will be Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle or Sarkodie.
Lots of industry players are putting their money on Joe Mettle to win the Artiste of the year but since he wasn’t nominated in the Most popular song of the year and as well, won’t be performing on the night, there’s little doubt with regards to whether he will be winning because as a potential artiste of the year winner, whatever the case is, you have to perform on the night proper, and to this end, that level of vim is no longer there.
Now, with Sarkodie and Stonebwoy, both have done extremely well but all I can tell you is that don’t be surprised when Stonebwoy wins the 2017 Artiste of the year making it his 2nd time.
Anita Erskine and Dj Black will host the show this evening; Berla and Elikem will be doing the red carpet, and show starts at 7:05pm. Dj Vyrusky will be in charge of the Red room.
The ceremony will be live on GHONE TV, TV3, UTV, Joy Prime, TV7, TV XYZ, in fact, almost all the local channels will be transmitting this year’s VGMAs live.
So yes, the VGMAs is on this later this evening, buckle up and enjoy the show.
