SP Kofi Sarpong’s Manager Promises To Pay Erico’s Debt Owed Sound Engineer

After almost a week of media squabble between Erico of Mentor fame and a sound engineer over debt the former owes the latter, Media Excel CEO and artiste manager, Ernest Kwesi Ennin has assured to settle the GH¢1,500.00 debt.

He made this assertion during an interview on Top FM’s Saturday Entertainment show when Vincent Kwame Nyefele popularly known as Vinny Kay, a supervisor of Brain Drain Recording Studio at Mataheko stormed the studio to state his version of the story that has gone viral in the media.

SP Kofi Sarpong’s manager pleaded with the Top FM presenter to halt the interview since such issues concerning stakeholders in the music industry dent the reputation of other industry players.

“I’ll settle the debt for him (Erico), so please let’s not drag this issue too long as it speaks bad about our industry… Vinny Kay call me a week after if Erico still says he won’t pay,” Kwesi Ernest said.

It will be recalled that Gospel artiste, Erico who recently launched his much talked about ‘M’anyanwu’ album went into an agreement with Vinny Kay, a supervisor of Brain Drain Recording Studio at Mataheko to settle his studio recording fee of GH¢1,500.00 after his mega launch but angrily said he will no more pay the debt he owes Vinny Kay for reason that he (Sound Engineer) has dented his reputation after disclosing the issue to the media and also reporting him to persons he (Erico) respects so much.

According to the gospel musician, Vinny Kay was inconsiderate because he made known to him some challenges he faced yet the sound engineer turned deaf ears and still went ahead to disgrace him.

Erico told Kasapafmonline.com, that even before he entered into an agreement to record three songs with the engineer, he initially paid an unaccounted amount of about GH¢1,000.00 to Vinny Kay and promised to pay for the outstanding amount after the launch of his album.

Meanwhile, the sound engineer Vinny Kay told Kasapafmonline.com, he is amazed by Erico’s action since the later came to the studio pleading with him that he wanted to record a song but was facing financial challenges.
