Although multiple award winner, Kofi Kinaata was not on the bill of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Celebration Jam which took place last Saturday at the Takoradi Polytechnic Park, he was the most talked about artiste.

Even before the show began in the evening, most of the youth were spotted wearing T- Shirt with Kofi Kinaata embossed on them celebrating his victory for grabbing three awards at the recently held VGMA.

As if that was not enough, almost all the underground artistes from Takoradi who mounted the stage ‘big-upped’ Kofi Kinaata before they performed. And anytime Nii Ayi Tagoe, the DJ on the night dropped a Kinaata song, the crowd went gaga.

Now Kofi Kinaata who was in the UK for show at that time told Showbiz in an interview that his people in Takoradi should expect a big concert from him by the end of the year.

The artiste who scored big marks at the event was gospel musician Nacee. In fact, one would not be wrong to adjudge him the best performer on the night.

Nacee started his performance with some of his slows songs before moving to the fast tempo ones. When he dropped Onaapo Attention and Hallelujah, everyone was dancing and singing along with him. Apart his interaction with his audience was on point.

The longest performer on the night was Sarkodie and he did put up a good show. He started his two-hour performance around 1: 30am. He performed songs from his stables such as Azonto Fiesta, Pizza and Burger, Adonai, U Go Kill Me, Down on One, Chingam, Rich Nigga Shit and Mewu to the delight of his teeming fans who had come to see him.

EL also put up a good account of himself but that could not be said of Stonebwoy. His act on the night was not the best. He did not rock.

Other artistes who performed were MzVee, Joe Mettle and Stone B. And as usual Patch Bay Band was good and so was Amanda Jissih, the MC for the night.
