Great Ampong has told DJ Roar on Kesben FM that he only recorded with Daddy Lumba because he was sick.
Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong speaking on the Kumasi-based radio station revealed that Lumba approached him for collaboration when he was unwell. According to him, he accepted to work with Lumba because he was not feeling well.
The SDA singer continued that he believed God could heal the highlife legend through him so he had to accept his proposal for the miracle to come to past.
“I saw Lumba when he was sick. He approached me for the collaboration. I didn’t go for Lumba he came for me so we all worked together. I saw him as someone who was sick so God should work through me to heal me so I didn’t think of sitting down with him for agreement.
The person I’m working with is sick and can’t do anything so what will make me even think that he can take all the money away when we are done?
If I’m to describe what he did, it’s theft.”
Ampong added that he was quiet after the incident happened because renowned men of God advised him not to come public but things have become hard for him in recent times so he needs to voice it out.
Great Ampong has accused highlife legend, Daddy Lumba of camping an amount of Gh 340,000 from their album launch and sales without giving him a penny.
The two launched their collaborated album, “Hosanna” last year November at Glorious Wave Chapel International.
