Bishop Daniel Obinim has reacted to popular radio and television relationship counselor, Reverend George Lutterodt’s comment he made on his act of flogging a girl and her boyfriend in Church.
The counselor during a TV interview said he backs the Bishop’s act but quickly added that he is not happy about the fact that the Leader and Founder of International God’s Way Church used “Godly hours” to discipline the two.
Lutterodt asked the man of God to apologise to his wife, Florence Obinim for disgracing her in public. According to him, his comments that he is taking care of the two involved in the immoral act shows he has a broken home, which paints his wife black.
The man of God lauded counselor Lutterodt for backing him for his act. On his comments that he shouldn’t have punished them in the presence of his congregation, Obinim said God asked him to discipline them at that time so he couldn’t have done otherwise.
He continued that the church members have no problem with what he did in their presence so there is no apology for them.
Bishop Daniel Obinim was seen in a video flogging the pregnant girl and her boyfriend. Infuriated by the couple’s lustful actions which resulted in a pregnancy, Bishop Obinim beat the young man on his bare back with his belt before turning to the girl flogging her mercilessly in the full glare of his congregation.
During the beating session, Obinim is heard questioning the jobless young man why he got the girl pregnant when he has no finances for her upkeep and the upbringing of the unborn child. The girl who was unable to stand the flogging attempts to escape, but she was held by a right-hand man of the Bishop to enable the bishop to subject her to more beatings.
After that, Obinim instructed his junior pastors to remove their belts and subject the couple to more flogging.
