Gospel musician Cwesi Oteng has echoed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) claim that its 72-year-old flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, is strong and healthy for the December polls.
The issue of Nana Akufo-Addo’s health was a subject of controversy after the Africawatch magazine published that the former Attorney General had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, acute kidney disease, and an enlarged heart since 2013. The NPP and Mr Akufo-Addo have since denied the publication.
Cwesi Oteng, who, on September 10, 2016, announced to the world via his Twitter handle that he was supporting Mr Akufo-Addo, has waded into the conversation saying the three-time flag bearer’s health is intact.
After meeting face-to-face with Nana Akufo-Addo at his Nima residence on Friday, September 23, Cwesi Oteng on September 29 tweeted: “As I sat by @NAkufoAddo I realised and saw that he was FIT STRONG &WELLBEING. Don’t mind the politicians. Liars. He is ROBUST.”
