The program for the 25th anniversary celebration of La kpee UK has been released. The chairman of the association Mrs. Mabel Doku, at a news briefing at their Chestnut centre base said the Homowo /Jubilee anniversary will be under the chairmanship Dr Eric Boye.
To grace the occasion, there will be a powerful delegation from La,Accra led by the Paramount Chief of the La traditional area Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru 11 La Mantse which will include the Shikitele Nii Adzei Koofe IV ,the King maker of the La traditional area and the Chief priest of La,Lakpa Wulomor and a host of royal dignitaries from La Acccra.
Also coming to the anniversary is Dr Nii Kotey DJanie CEO of Global Finance, from Accra. The Nii Mei and Nana Num association of UK,the Ghana Union and all the Ghanaian associations have been cordially invited to make the occasion grand. There will be music galore and plenty of cultural displays and authentic Ghanaian dishes after the Kpokpoi meal and the sprinkling of the festive food.
Traditional Ghanaian food, DJ’s and cultural groups, showcasing the rich, vibrant and colorful arts and culture of the Gas will be on display. The La Kpee UK Homowo Festival provides a unifying social, cultural and educational platform for Gas and for people of Ghanaian origin through a lasting and self-sustaining platform to our local community and to a wide and varied audience in the UK.
