Gmw-Uk 2016 Launch For the Ghana High Commission, London, This August

With the main goal of creating the biggest platform in the UK to market Ghanaian music and tourism to the world; as well as attracting tourist traffic to Ghana for the main annual Ghana Music Week Festival next March, the first GMW-UK, would be launched this August.

The Official Media Launch of GMW-UK 2016 would be held at the Conference Hall of the Ghana High Commission, 13 Belgrave Square, London SW1X 8PN, in the first week of August 2016. The Media Launch would unveil to the general public, such details as event date, venue, format as well as headline artistes and sponsors for GMW-UK 2016.

This was confirmed when GMW & Musiga Executives led by GMW Director, Verus Nartey, recently met with the Ghana High Commissioner, H. E. Victor Emmanuel Smith at the Ghana High Commission in London.

At least a big-name artiste from highlife, hiplife, dancehall, gospel and traditional Ghanaian music genres each, would be announced at the Media Launch in London early August.

The main GMW-UK 2016 would be held at a plush venue in London in October 2016. It will be a 4-hour presentation of the #StoryofGHMusic from its many styles and forms.

Attending the Media Launch would be the Ghana High Commissioner, H. E. Victor Emmanuel Smith, a Director at the Ministry for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, some Ghanaian top notables in the UK, Musiga Executives and a good representation of the media- both local and international.

Organized by the Musicians Union of Ghana (Musiga), Showbiz Africa, Fantasy Entertainment, Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Creative Arts (MoTCCA), 2016 GMW-UK, is in collaboration with the Ghana High Commission (UK), Abbeam Music Production, ABM Entertainment and Base Inc. Group, UK.

London-based Freddie Annan is the Chairman of GMW-UK while UK’s leading promoter of Afrobeat music and Capital Xtra radio Presenter, DJ Abrantee is the official ambassador for GMW-UK.
