Dangme Community In Hamburg Celebrates Homowo

GaDangme Community a newly union formed in Hamburg, Germany by the GaDangme people from Gt. Accra region of Ghana is posed to collaborate with stakeholders both in Ghana and Germany for development in the areas of cultural, health, environmental and educational issues for the betterment of people living in rural part of Gt. Accra in Ghana.

GaDangme Community sees the development of any country especially in the third world not solely to be relay on government shoulders but rather Ghanaians in the Diaspora must also come onboard to help and collaborate with government so that situations in our communities, towns and villages where basic amenities is not the best will be improve through sister-city partnership or collaboration.

This vision came to light when the newly inaugurated community celebrates their first-ever homowo festival, which is an annual festival for the chiefs and people of Greater Accra in Ghana.

The celebration of Homowo cum inauguration of the GaDangme community brought together other sister union groups from Dusseldorf, Berlin and Hannover as well as union groups within Hamburg to celebrate with new GaDangme Community.

Solidarity messages and well wishes from Ghana supreme council in Hamburg, Ghana Union in Hamburg, Interkulturelles Migranten Integrations Center (IMIC e. V. ), Osu Kpee, and Kapsong union represents to show their readiness and support, and also welcome the new union (GaDangme Community) into the amalgamated groups, unions and societies in Hamburg.

As advice by the sub divisional Queen mother – stool mother of Asere – Pramparm – Seinye Naa Marmakai Bortor Bley 1, task GaDangmes both home and aboard to always see peace and unity as the panacea development, again the Seinye advice GaDangme people to emulate the behavior of other unions harmony so that Gt. Accra as one’s know as a group with unity and prospect in Ghana will gain it history stride again

Although Gt. Accra regional minister and the former interior minister where not able to come due the political campaign going in our upcoming elections in Ghana, but thanks to technology the two honorable where connected via telephone to give their words of advice to the new union as a way of urging them to forge ahead with all other unions in Hamburg, they should have one common goal as a union, respect and love each other in the union as this is one devil act of many unions that has been disorganize in many unions both in and outside Ghana.
