Unilever Ghana Awards 2016 Key Distributors

Unilever Ghana has rewarded its distributors for excelling in their operations in 2016.

The award was also aimed at rewarding the distributors for promoting the brand.

An event organized in Accra saw distributors of Unilever from all 10 regions of Ghana come together.

The overall winner, the best key distributor for 2016 went to Osei Akwasi Boakye Company Limited.

They took home GHS30, 000.00.

They also took home the Target and Growth Achievement for Modern Trade Silver category.

First Runner Up went to Grand Central Enterprise while Hydraulics Ltd was adjudged the second runner up.

Other winners of the night were Koala Shopping Centre with the Target and Growth Achievement for Modern Trade, Gold and Power Hydraulics Ltd achieving the Bronze category.

For the Coverage Expansion 2016 Award category, Nan Company Ltd took home the Gold category, followed by Bisvel Distribution Services with silver category and Charlithness Enterprise for bronze.

The Long Service awards went to Opoku Trading Company Ltd, Araba Afram Enterprise, Nan Company Ltd and Muntari Hamidu enterprise for distributing Unilever products for 20 years.

Others were Alzuphar Company Ltd and Cletus Soglu Enterprise with 15 years and 10 years of Unilever distribution respectively.

Speaking at the ceremony Managing Director of Unilever Ghana Yeo Ziobeieton said the move is aimed at celebrating Unilever’s distributors and partners in Ghana who have over the years toiled to make Unilever the well preferred and accepted brand.

He urged the awardees to work to build an even stronger brand to ensure Unilever stays on top.

He added that their hard work will also help to create employment for numerous Ghanaians.

Managing Director of the overall winning company, Osei Akwasi Boakye Company Ltd, Mark Osei Boakye pledged his commitment to work diligently to ensure progress in Unilever and his company. He was optimistic his company will grab the overall award again in 2017.
