Known as the “Get the power” genset offer, the initiative is to help customers purchase generating sets at subsidised cost.

It will also enable individuals, small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs), as well as bigger companies to purchase generating sets as back-up power in the event of power outages, popularly known as dumsor.

The promo was jointly launched by the management of SG Ghana and CFAO Equipment in Accra last Tuesday.

Financing solution

Explaining the rationale for the partnership, the Head of Engineering Department of CFAO Equipment, Mr Amaury Dunchon, said the offer was such that customers could have easy access to financing solution from SG Ghana.

“Bearing in mind that a genset is an investment for individuals and small companies, we have decided to work closely with SG Ghana to provide our customers with financing solution which will be convenient for them,” he said.

Mr Dunchon said the gensets were durable with low fuel consumption, as well as reduced noise levels which made it more convenient for customers.

“The collaboration will also ensure that we install the genset and with three years of maintenance at no cost to the customer,” he added.

Need to patronise

The Managing Director of SG Ghana, Mr Sionle Yeo, said one of the key objectives for the promo was to give clients the opportunity to operate effectively and continuously without any disturbances whenever there was power outage.

Under the package, he said the customer would have the solution to finance their investments at the best rates provided by the bank to purchase the product.

Mr Yeo encouraged companies and institutions to show interest in the package by opening an account with the bank.

24-hour warranty

The MD of CFAO Equipment, Mr Michael-Oliver Louis, said the generating sets provided 24-hour power supply to consumers.

He also encouraged business owners and start-ups to show greater interest in the package.
